Why Not Vote for Jefferson?

Don't vote for Jefferson. He thinks a country founded by people who recognized their government wasn't working ought to be willing to ask that question again. He proposes a Third Continental Congress, five branches of government—including an Arboreal Branch to speak for the trees (metaphorically) and a Comical Branch to keep us from taking themselves too seriously—and a Declaration of Interdependence to recognize our shared responsibility for one another and the only planet we have (for now). He wonders why the cost of living keeps rising while the promise of prosperity feels increasingly out of reach, and why economic growth is celebrated even as communities struggle to thrive. He even posits a First Planetary Congress where humanity, alongside artificial intelligence, might negotiate a shared future. Faced with a quickening planet, fragile institutions, and an uncertain future, his solution is to abandon rush and invite We the People to reconsider where we're going. Most disqualifying of all, he has no idea what these Congresses should decide. He simply believes that no individual, institution, or intelligence should decide for everyone else.

Don't vote for Jefferson. That's rather the point.
Besides he doesn’t want the job.
