Rethink Agriculture
The first change We the People need to make is how we consume food. Please stop talking over your chewing.
We also need to drastically shorten our supply chains. Decentralizing our Food Supply would have a myriad of benefits.
Decentralizing our seafood would help revive our regional food cultures.
Having municipal fish markets where fisherman can sell their fish much closer to their catch not only would help prevent overfishing but help reduce the amount of fuel, bycatch, etc that is currently wrought by our overzealous factory fishing industry. We’re all probably going to have to eat a lot less fish for a while but We’re not going to have any fish to eat if we wipe out the ecosystems of our oceans, lakes, and rivers.
Re-regionalizing our food chain would allow us to grow land animals that match the habitats we reside in. Raising bison instead of cattle would allow us to help return the prairies of this nation to their natural beauty while supplying a source of meat that is healthier than modern beef. Again we are going to have to eat less red meat as a nation but we currently eat far too much. Besides these paradox patties and believable burgers made from pea protein get me through the drive through.
(support habitats with hunting of deer and elk)
More farms less commodity crops.
We should be eating for more vegetables and far less corn syrup
Soil degredation in the great plains
Decentralize food production and distribution
Reseasonlize our food supply.
Stop overfishing
Stop monoculture
