Setting my tone First.

Dear Everyone,

It’s a shit show down here in the swamp. We’re pretending to lead the world from this city.

We have lots of press conferences, borderline speeches, and fancy dinners, but we’re not leading anywhere in particular.

What leading gets lead is usually heading in the wrong direction, and where We’re heading often isn’t because We lead at all.

The worst part is We’re lost, it’s hard to assess where exactly We should be leading to. Our minds are pulled in increasingly polar directions by the emotional baiting that is Our news cycle.

Our notions of truth and reality are jumbled into Our algorithms and Our discourse has turned into a reactionary rhetorical death spiral. So We just lessen Our ideals; that way They don’t splash too much outside Our constituent’s chambers.

Anyway, the steak is expensive and the sex is rare here in DC. i guess i don’t mind the masks, They helped cure me of my Mouth-Breathing Syndrome (MBS), but it’s muggy in this swamp and i’d like to be done with Them.
