A public diary for a guaranteed future president. That’s something posterity is going to love.
Historians will pour through my words trying to figure out why I insisted on campaigning against myself.
The truth is when the future is clear you know how best to act. I knew that if I did nothing, I was going to become President. It is an inevitability in the timeline we are in, but by trying to stop myself I would have a chance at a normal life. A life where I’m libertus, and I have the stability to pursue happiness.
A simple life where, I have a job I know will exist next month and so long term life planning is a pleasure instead of a fear.
A life where purpose is clear, and the pang of wasting time isn’t so constant and cloying from every aspect of society.
But, if I try to stop myself from being President there was a chance, however small, that I would be successful in preventing my own Presidency.
Heck, I was successful last election cycle, in 2024 I did prevent my own presidency despite the fact that it might not have been legal. You see I turned 35 between the 2024 election and the 2025 inauguration, and if I had been elected president there would have been legal challenges that went to the Supreme Court deciding whether the constitution says I need to be 35 when I announced my campaign (which I never even had), 35 when I was elected, or 35 when I was sworn in. Despite the legal ambiguity, I received maybe seven votes, I need to make a special request to a several county clerks to get exact confirmation whether the list of write in names included me.
But the best estimates say I got seven votes, in 4 states which is too many and now that I think of the trend is quite worrisome. In 2020 when it was definitely illegal for me to be president because I was too young, I definitely got one vote. So 2024 is a 600% increase in the number of votes I got for President.
Despite the 2 cycles of success, it’s a trend I am going to have to work harder to abate. At that growth multiplier I would receive 282,475,249 votes in 2036 which is more than enough to be elected President. I need to stop the growth in constituencies that are voting for me and reverse the trend back towards zero votes for me.
I don’t want to be President. It sounds like a terrifying job. My strategy this cycle to keep my name off the ballot, because it’s much harder for a Write-in to win an election. It’s been done but it definitely helps my chances of successfully losing the election if people would have to remember how to spell my very long name
Anyway, don’t vote for me 2028. I really don’t want the job.
